    Three major productivity nutrients: carbohydrate, fat, protein. (Ethanol can also produce energy)

    Composition of human energy expenditure

    1. Basic energy expenditure (BEE)

    (1) Definition: It is the energy consumption necessary to maintain the most basic life activities of the human body.

    (2) Basal metabolic rate (BMR): refers to the basal metabolic energy consumed by the unit body surface area (㎡) or unit weight (kg) of the human body per unit time.

    (3) Factors affecting basal metabolism:

    Body type and body composition: those with the same weight, who are taller than those who are short; age and physiological status; gender: 5% -10% higher than male; environmental temperature; stress status;

    2. Energy expenditure for physical activity

    It accounts for 15% to 30% of the total energy expenditure of the human body. Related to labor intensity, duration, proficiency, etc.

    3. Consumption of food with special dynamic effects (Food Thermal Effect-TEF)

    Food special dynamic effect (SDA) is now called the food heat effect. Refers to the phenomenon of extra energy consumption caused by human body feeding.

    Energy consumption: 5-6% carbohydrate consumption, 4-5% fat, 30% protein

    The average adult consumes a mixed diet, and TEF is equivalent to 10% of basal metabolism.
